Unlocking the Future of Engineering Management

B.S.E. in Engineering Management, certified Lean and Six Sigma Green Belt. I lead multidisciplinary teams, keep projects on schedule, and turn data into decisions.

About

About Maiya Shefik

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Management from ASU’s Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering, along with Lean Green Belt and Six Sigma Green Belt certifications. My work sits at the intersection of Agile project management, risk mitigation, and process optimization.

I led a six-person, multidisciplinary NASA-sponsored capstone team through delivery, and spent years as one of the Valley’s leading Starbucks barista trainers. Both taught me the same thing: operational efficiency is a people problem as much as a process one.

I am looking for a challenging, fast-paced role where leadership and analytical rigour both matter.

Leadership

Leadership in Practice

Whether the team is six engineers on a NASA deliverable or twenty new baristas on a busy floor, the job is the same: make the plan clear, and make people want to deliver it.

Working Style

Adaptable and Data-Driven

Adaptable

From a NASA capstone to a tasting room to a high-energy brand event, I pick up context fast and adjust with minimal guidance.

Data-Driven

Excel, Tableau, and Smartsheets are how I find the trend before it becomes a problem, and how I show my work to stakeholders.

Process-Minded

Lean and Six Sigma Green Belt training taught me to look for the waste and the variation, not just the symptom.

Collaborative

Multidisciplinary teams only work when communication does — I keep engineering, delivery, and stakeholders reading the same plan.

Contact

Let’s build something well-run.

Open to project management, process improvement, and engineering management roles — and to conversations with teams who care about doing the work properly.
